Banango is a literary blog that talks about exciting literature. We like to read stuff. We are also Banango Street, a literary journal. We will try to look at it but we have learned to avoid making too many promises.

6:00- One hour until the awards, I think. About to maybe make coffee. Just bought a shirt off Big Cartel. Hope I converted time right in my head and it is an hour until the event begins.

6:20- Sick-ass Tinychat, featuring lots of penis drawings on whiteboard. Sweet.

6:52- THE AWARDS ARE ABOUT TO START.

7:01- Steve is dancing to Skrillex. Sweet.

7:04- Boost my crotch, bb. I am drinking chai and egg nog. I can’t wait for the Beachy’s. Steve wins ‘most gayest’, congrats.

7:07- Hope Steve is not allergic to cats.

7:09- Congrats to horse_ebooks!

7:14- Steve danced to Dimmu Borgir. \m/

7:17- I forgot about the drinking game, oops.

7:21- FIRST AWARD IS BEST ALT LIT SHORT STORY CONGRATS TO SAM PINK!

7:26 -Best poem goes to Darby Larson. Have not read that poem. Was hoping for Russ Woods to win it or something. Idk. I should read this poem, it is probably good.

7:28- Tried to read poem, feel like I did not ‘get’ it, idk.

7:35- Damn, soundtrack tonight is going great. Hawthorne Heights. Best online mag goes to: Lies/Isle. Sweet, I like that journal.

7:45 - Best journal/mag: Pop Serial, very deserving, best journal. We reviewed a lot of their stuff a long time ago.

7:50- Best debut novel: Ofelia Hunt, I read some of her things once and liked them, have not read the novel, it is probably pretty good.

7:51- PROM KING AND QUEEN ARE: Richard Chiem and Francis Dinger, cute. :3

7:56: Best chapbook: Frank Hinton wins. CONFLICT OF INTEREST. jk, congrats. This is being reprinted so I can purchase and read it, right?

8:01- Jovial Jellyfish called, I missed it due to an ad showing up.

8:02- Best moment. I bet it is the Satanic Matinee.

8:04- Oh, Tao Lin marries Megan Boyle. Guess that was pretty important.

8:11- Best breakout writers: Steve Roggenbuck and Megan Boyle. Congrats Steve bb.

8:13- Gotta go open Christmas things, might miss rest of awards, let me know who wins.

8:30- Got back in time for best novel, congrats to Blake Butler, think he won Best Alt Lit Writer too or something. Sweet, congrats Blake Butler.
